Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 1+ year postpartum experience in acute care hospital setting required.
• RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Certified Lactation Counselor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care activities.
