Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a registered nurse for postpartum care on a PRN basis. The role includes night shifts, applying evidence-based nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The position requires a valid RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of postpartum experience in an acute care hospital. Strong communication and clinical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• 1+ year postpartum experience in acute care setting
• BLS CPR required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• Certified Lactation Counselor preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document care activities and outcomes in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions.
