Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician (HCT) to support licensed nursing staff. Under RN supervision, you will assist with personal care, data collection, vital signs, and daily living activities.

You will float to various units as needed and may act as a patient sitter, contributing to quality care for both adults and children. You must complete Carle's HCT In Training Program, hold a HS diploma or GED, and maintain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma/GED (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• CNA coursework completed within past 24 months.
• Carle HCT In Training Program completion.

Aufgaben

• Assists with unit supplies, stock, cleaning instruments and equipment, and chart preparation.
• Collects data on assigned patients and documents accurately.
• Demonstrates competency in vital signs, glucose monitoring, and IO measurements.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Prepares patients for transportation or transport.
• Collaborates with nursing to ensure high-quality care for critical patients.
• Updates white boards and performs hourly rounding.
• Floats within the hospital as needed.
• May serve as a sitter when required.
• Assists in setting up bedside procedures.
