Job summary

You will perform delegated tasks, maintain patient comfort and safety, and assist with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and documentation.

The role requires a CNA certification or coursework and a High School Diploma or GED, with BLS in 30 days and nursing clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or credential; BLS within 30 days per AHA.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one nursing clinical experience (semester)
• Completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program or CNA coursework within 24 months

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities delegated by the nurse per policies and procedures.
• Provides hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care and comfort to assigned patients.
• Assists with activity needs and mobility (dangling, turning, ambulation).
• Performs patient measurements (I&O, BP, weights, etc.) and documents results.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharge processes.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and equipment readiness; restocks supplies as needed.
• Responds promptly to call lights and alarms; reports concerns to the nurse.
• Demonstrates teamwork to support patient safety and satisfaction.
