Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Positive Support Specialists to join Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs, assisting individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs through a person-centered approach focused on safety and meaningful activities.

Responsibilities include promoting independence in daily living, advocating for rights and care, documenting shifts, and safely managing crises.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience with people with complex needs; 3-5 years preferred.
• Must pass a BCA background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and independence.
• Advocate for rights, medical care, and community participation.
• Complete documentation and shift records accurately.
• Respond to crises safely; trained in Positive Behavioral Supports.
