Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota's Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) program seeks Positive Support Specialists to support individuals with complex medical, behavioral and mental health needs in home and community settings. A person-centered approach helps individuals reach meaningful goals while ensuring safety for all.

You will assist with daily living skills, advocate for rights and medical care, document every shift, and respond to crises with trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check by BCA and driver’s license required; MVR check required.
• HS diploma; degree in relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills.
• Advocate for individuals in rights, medical care, and community.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely; Positive Behavioral Supports training provided.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
