Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Positive Support Specialists to join our Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS). These roles support individuals with complex medical, behavioral and mental health needs, following a person-centered approach to help them reach goals while ensuring safety.

You will assist with daily living skills, advocate for rights and medical care, complete shift documentation, and participate in trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Must be physically able to stand, squat, bend or walk for long periods; ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
• Clearance by BCA background check and valid driver’s license with MVR is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to become more independent in daily living skills.
• Advocate for rights and medical care within the community.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping each shift.
