Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Positive Support Specialists for Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS). You will support individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs in home and community settings.

Responsibilities include promoting independence in daily living skills, advocacy, and timely documentation. Training in Positive Behavioral Supports is provided; a driving license and BCA background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years experience with people with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills (meal prep, personal hygiene, community navigation).
• Advocate for residents rights, medical care, and community inclusion.
• Complete shift documentation and record-keeping.
• Manage crisis situations safely; participate in Positive Behavioral Supports training.
