Job summary

Macomb County Government seeks a Position Control Assistant to manage position control and wage administration with strict accuracy. You will process pay changes and maintain HRLR records across HRIS systems while supporting labor negotiations with confidential reporting.

The role partners with the Finance Department to verify budgeted positions and assist departments with cost allocations. Strong data analysis and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of HR or payroll experience.
• Two years of data analysis experience including auditing and interpreting data.

Responsibilities

• Performs position control and wage administration duties with high accuracy.
• Monitors, balances, and maintains position control and wage data.
• Audits pay changes across multiple HRIS systems and reports.
• Collaborates with the Finance Department to ensure budgeted positions.
• Compiles confidential reports for labor negotiations.
