Job summary

The Walt Disney Company’s Disney Experiences division seeks a POS Technology Manager to own point-of-sale, kitchen display systems, and mobile ordering across hundreds of locations. You will drive reliability, lead a team of systems engineers, and manage vendor relationships while coordinating hardware lifecycles and security patching.

You will oversee deployments, disaster recovery, and audits, ensuring on-time delivery and maintaining dashboards with Splunk, Datadog, and ELK.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in POS or retail/restaurant technology.
• 3+ years managing engineers or technical staff.
• Experience with KDS and/or mobile ordering.
• Comfort with Android and Windows server environments.
• Experience with PCI-DSS and SOC audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of systems engineers with hiring and on-call coverage.
• Own reliability across POS, KDS, and mobile ordering with hardware and software focus.
• Manage budgets and billing in MyPPM and support forecasting.
• Lead rollouts, upgrades, new location openings, and vendor relationships.
• Own hardware lifecycle: deployment, refresh, retirement, ruggedization, security patching (Android/Windows/iOS, via SOTI).
• Own disaster recovery across all platforms, including drills and recovery leadership.
• Manage L2/L3 support vendors on SLAs and performance.
• Be the PCI-DSS/SOC audits and security incident response go-to.
• Guide infra decisions including LAN/WAN and telecom projects.
• Plan and estimate with a technical lens to keep projects on time and in scope.
• Track emerging tech and leverage AI to improve team operations.
• Support on-call escalations and lead hypercare during go-lives and incidents.
• Build dashboards and KPIs (Splunk, Datadog, ELK) for visibility.
