Job summary

Disney Experiences (DX) is hiring a POS Technology Manager to own POS, KDS, and mobile ordering across hundreds of retail and dining locations, ensuring uptime is part of the guest experience. You’ll lead a team, drive reliability, and manage vendor relationships.

You’ll collaborate with operations and tech partners across the enterprise, guiding infrastructure decisions and leading go-lives with on-call support, disaster recovery, and strict security practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in POS or retail/restaurant technology, with strong background in POS hardware and payment processing.
• 3+ years managing engineers or technical staff and talent development.
• Experience with KDS and mobile ordering platforms.
• Comfort with Android-based smart clients and Windows servers.
• Strong systems thinking and agile experience (Scrum/Lean).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of systems engineers and set on-call coverage.
• Own reliability across POS, KDS, and mobile ordering hardware and software.
• Manage budgets and vendor relationships, supporting forecasting and accruals.
• Lead rollouts, upgrades, and new location openings; guide architecture decisions.
• Own hardware lifecycle, security patching, and DR across platforms.
• Lead disaster recovery exercises and on-call escalations; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure projects stay on time and in scope.
