Techify Care, Inc. seeks a Desktop Support Specialist to manage on-site POS device installations and support tasks. You will check in with the Manager on Duty, verify work orders, deinstall legacy equipment, install new devices, configure network parameters, and run tests with store staff to ensure smooth operation.

Responsibilities include proper documentation, a clean work area, and completing checkout with the client or MOD, ensuring device readiness for retail transactions.

Aufgaben

• Check in with the designated Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Confirm the work order and identify the equipment/lane(s) assigned for installation.
• Remove the existing/legacy device and associated cables as instructed.
• Ensure all removed equipment and cables are handled appropriately.
• Install the new P630/M425 device and required cables.
• Ensure all equipment is properly connected and securely installed.
• Enter the required network parameters.
• Pair and configure the POS device as instructed.
• Initiate any required software or configuration downloads.
• Allow the device to complete all automatic downloads and required reboots.
• Verify that the device is operating correctly.
• Perform a test sale/transaction for registration, as instructed by the client.
• Coordinate with the Branch/Store Manager to complete the required testing.
• Perform the test transaction and verify that the installation is functioning correctly.
• Obtain the required sign-off on the work order.
• Clean the work area and ensure no installation materials or debris are left behind.
• Complete the checkout process with the client or Manager on Duty (MOD).
