Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, RI is seeking a Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts, coordinating between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to drive on-time, on-budget delivery of simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy.

You will monitor project status, manage budgets and schedules, and prepare DoD-compliant data items while ensuring quality objectives and performance metrics are met. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/applied science/management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management tools.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
