Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead the PORTS program, supporting Navy simulation systems.

You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customer, and project team to drive schedules, budgets, and deliverables with a focus on quality and client satisfaction. Requirements include US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/management, at least 5 years of management (P&L) experience, familiarity

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management
• Have a minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss
• Be familiar with software development projects
• Have solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject)
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
