Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts in Middletown, RI. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, Navy customers, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of simulation-based training systems.

The role requires DoD clearance eligibility, a strong background in software development projects, and proven leadership with MS Office tools. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
