Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program, delivering simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage schedules and budgets, and brief leadership and Navy customers on progress. The role requires a US citizen with DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/applied science/management, and at least 5 years of management experience in software development

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, work products, schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items per DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on status.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
