Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts in Middletown, RI, supporting US Navy simulation-based training systems. You will liaise between the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with DoD compliance.

Requirements include US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or management field, 5+ years of management experience (P&L), and strong MS Office/MS Project skills.

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management
• Have a minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss
• Be familiar with software development projects
• Have solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject)
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
