Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a proactive credit analyst/portfolio manager to join the Leveraged Finance team. You will oversee a subset of portfolio credits, perform valuation modeling, and contribute to deal origination and monitoring efforts.

You will evaluate borrowers, prepare credit memos, and work with deal teams to structure senior debt for acquisitions and growth. The role requires strong Excel skills and 3–6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Four to six years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Perform LBO / financial modeling to evaluate new opportunities and monitor portfolio performance.
• Conduct quarterly borrower performance reviews and prepare monitoring reports with credit ratings.
• Prepare screening memos and credit approval write-ups for new borrowings and amendments.
• Perform borrower market diligence and assess key credit risk for recommendations.
• Develop understanding of underwriting policy and maintain oversight for assigned portfolio.
