Job summary

You will evaluate opportunities, analyze financials, and build detailed Excel models including LBOs to assess returns, leverage, and capital structures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, or closely related investment banking role.
• Strong financial modeling, accounting, and credit analysis skills.
• Experience analyzing leveraged capital structures, debt capacity, cash flow generation, and downside scenarios.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, credit documentation, and transaction execution.
• Excellent analytical, research, and financial writing skills.Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a lean, fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
• A genuine interest in private credit, direct lending, and principal investing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities and assess business fundamentals, credit quality, and downside protection.
• Analyze offering memorandums, financial statements, historical performance, projections, and key operating metrics.
• Build and review detailed Excel-based financial models, including LBO models, to evaluate investment returns, leverage capacity, and capital structures.
• Conduct industry research, comparable company analysis, and market assessments to validate investment theses.
• Prepare investment overviews, underwriting materials, and detailed investment committee memorandums.
• Support transaction structuring, due diligence, and the review and negotiation of legal documentation.
• Coordinate transaction execution and closing alongside senior investment professionals and external advisors.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support ongoing portfolio management initiatives.
• Work closely with senior deal team members and portfolio company management teams throughout the investment lifecycle.
