Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Property Manager leader to guide and develop a team responsible for overall portfolio performance in a fast-paced market. The role focuses on owner relationships, tenant satisfaction, and operational excellence across maintenance, leasing, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong coaching, communication, and budget oversight skills, with a track record of improving client retention and property profitability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Property Management experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Coaching and team development skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability after hours/evenings as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Property Management or Real Estate License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Property Managers and support staff, holding teams accountable to KPIs.
  • Maintain relationships with property owners and support client retention.
  • Oversee portfolio operations: maintenance, leasing, compliance, resident relations.
  • Monitor work orders, vendor performance, and preventive maintenance.
  • Review vacancy reports and support leasing strategies; manage move-ins/outs.
  • Assist with budget oversight, invoice approvals, and expense management.
  • Support onboarding of new properties and client transitions.
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, training, and continuous improvement.

Job description

  • Lead, coach, and develop Property Managers and support staff while holding team members accountable to performance expectations and KPIs
  • Maintain strong relationships with property owners, address escalated concerns, and support client retention initiatives
  • Oversee portfolio operations, including maintenance, leasing, compliance, and resident relations activities
  • Monitor outstanding work orders, vendor performance, preventative maintenance programs, and high-priority issue resolution
  • Review vacancy reports, support leasing strategies, and help ensure efficient move-ins, move-outs, and property turnovers
  • Assist with budget oversight, invoice approvals, expense management, and portfolio profitability goals
  • Support onboarding of new properties and client transitions
  • Partner with company leadership on hiring, training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Property Management experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong coaching and team development skills
