Job summary

Fluence Energy seeks a Portfolio Finance Manager to lead financial oversight of a portfolio of large projects across the Americas. You will partner with project managers to track performance against budget, manage revenue recognition, and drive controls to ensure contract compliance and timely financial reporting.

The role requires deep accounting and finance experience in infrastructure or construction projects, with strong negotiation skills and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of project accounting methods and POC revenue recognition.
• Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Be financially responsible for a portfolio of the largest and most complex projects within the Americas region.
• Provide timely transparency around project performance against budget and maintain monthly Estimates at Completion for Revenue, Cost, and Margin.
• Ensure adherence to accounting guidelines and to commercial terms and conditions.
• Highlight risks and manage contract penalties, change orders, and supplier claims.
• Review and process project-related transactions (purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.).
• Mentor junior Portfolio Finance Managers and improve onboarding/execution processes.
