Job summary

DCH Academy Honda, part of Lithia & Driveway, is hiring a Service Porter in New Jersey. The role pays $16 to $18 per hour, based on experience, with full-time schedule and Saturdays required.

You will move vehicles, prepare them for delivery, and support the service department. The position requires 1–2 years in a customer-facing role, strong attention to detail, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate various vehicles, including manuals.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a customer-facing role; automotive experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Valid driver's license in your state of residence and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, including manual transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Move and position vehicles to maintain display and support the service department.
• Prepare repaired vehicles for delivery and monitor basic vehicle repairs (exterior/interior cleaning, tire pressure, air/fuel checks).
• Assist shuttle driver as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 1-2 years in a previous customer-facing role, automotive experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, and drive both manual and automatic transmissions

What You’ll Do:

• Move and work with vehicles to maintain vehicle display and support service department
• Prepare repaired vehicles for delivery; monitor and recognize general vehicle repairs i.e. exterior and/or interior cleaning, tire pressure of vehicles, air and fuel as needed
• Assist the shuttle driver as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Total Rewards

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $18.00. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
