Job summary

Crowley in San Juan seeks a Director of Port/Terminal Operations to provide strategic leadership for marine stevedoring, yard operations, security and vessel scheduling. You will drive safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance across the terminal landscape.

Lead a unionized workforce, manage safety and performance initiatives, and supervise a leadership team to optimize capacity and service while aligning with financial and operational goals.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marine/transport fields.
• Experience: 5–10 years in operations; 3–5 years in supervisory/management roles.
• Technical: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily terminal operations including stevedoring, yard operations, security, vessel scheduling.
• Coordinate with vessel operations and terminal teams to ensure efficient cargo movement and performance.
• Develop operating standards, procedures and performance goals for terminal and vessel operations.
• Ensure safety, environmental, regulatory and company compliance across operations.
• Lead and develop managers, supervisors and union employees; manage budgets and expenditures.
