Job summary

The Port of Virginia is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to supervise terminal operations, promoting a safe working environment while maximizing productivity and meeting departmental objectives.

Responsibilities include coordinating with ocean, motor, rail carriers, stevedores, and other stakeholders; enforcing safety and labor agreements; and allocating personnel and equipment to keep daily operations on track.

• Assign personnel and equipment to optimize daily operations and resolve bottlenecks.
