Job summary

Crowley is seeking a detail-oriented supervisor to oversee cargo discharge, yard operations, and staging at the terminal. You will coordinate stevedoring, manage staffing for union personnel, and ensure compliance with procedures for safe, efficient cargo handling.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in yard or vessel operations, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong MS Office skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, TWIC and MVR checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in related fields.
• 4+ years of yard or vessel operations experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; TWIC credential required; MVR check may be performed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the safe discharge, organization, storage and movement of cargo through the terminal.
• Assist in planning stevedoring and yard operations for maximum efficiency.
• Staff union employees; enforce safety rules and complete reports.
• Ensure cargo and empties are identified and loaded per procedures.
• Develop stowage plans to optimize vessel stability and trim.
• Maintain relationships with union and non-union personnel and administer policies.
• Control costs by managing meal periods and minimizing overtime.
