Job summary

Port Houston seeks an experienced Terminal Manager to oversee day-to-day vessel, gate, and container yard operations at the Barbours Cut facility. You will optimize production, safety, and efficiency by leveraging personnel and equipment while coordinating with port police and stevedoring teams.

You will supervise ILA Local 1351 and 28 staff, set up vessel operation plans, and ensure timely servicing of road and yard trucks. Strong supervision, reporting, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Administration, Business Administration, or related major; or in lieu of degree, 5+ years of related experience.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise ILA Local 1351 and ILA Local 28 staff including managing performance, discipline, and recognition.
• Coordinate terminal allocations when designated in Yard Planning Center.
• Review and approve daily/weekly ILA labor payroll.
• Respond to accidents; create incident reports and investigate causes.
