Job summary

British Swim School of Elk Grove is seeking a Deck Ambassador to serve as the main point of contact for families at the pool. You will welcome families, assist with check-in, support instructors, and help each shift run smoothly while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized pool environment and delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include arriving early to prepare the pool, setting up equipment, checking temperatures, greeting families, recording attendance, and advising on

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized and punctual.
• Comfortable speaking with parents, children, and staff.
• Basic computer and mobile device skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before lessons to prepare the pool area.
• Set up swim equipment, signs, attendance materials, and the family welcome area.
• Check and record pool temperature and chemical readings.
• Greet families warmly and help students check in.
• Track attendance and keep student records accurate.
• Answer questions about schedules, payments, makeup lessons, and program policies.
• Help new families feel comfortable and understand what to expect.
• Share schedule updates and customer concerns with management.
• Assist with enrollment and class scheduling when needed.
• Organize and return equipment after lessons.
• Complete closing duties so the pool area is ready for the next session.
