Job summary

Sunstream Hotels & Resorts at DiamondHead Beach Resort in Fort Myers Beach, FL is seeking a pool and guest services associate. You will promote a fun, safe environment, assist with towel service, and fulfill guest requests to create a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include supervising children's activities, maintaining pool areas, managing inventory, and handling POS transactions to upsell poolside items. Must work nights, weekends, and holidays with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Previous guest/customer service required; CPR/First Aid Certification highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and dedicated commitment to excellence.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and provide a positive, fun, entertaining environment that fosters an inspiring guest experience and assist with towel service and guest requests.
• Create age appropriate games for children/adults and supervise activities; resolve disputes between children as necessary.
• Maintain safe, clean facility; manage inventory and storage supplies on a monthly/daily basis; print month end reports for Activities & pool towels to justify inventory balance.
• Maintain pool area/equipment cleanliness; notify leadership of any issues that need to be addressed.
• Monitor pool/spa usage; support guest needs; manage towel stock and distribution as requested.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system to complete retail transactions accurately; promote and upsell poolside retail items.
• Keep retail displays clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Provide the critical first impression to all guests, with a natural passion for delivering exceptional service.
