Job summary

Ojai Valley Inn is seeking a Pool Attendant to warmly greet guests, seat them, and ensure impeccable pool area service. The role includes clearing and resetting lounge chairs and cabanas, refreshing beverages, and assisting with setup and breakdown to keep the pool area welcoming and safe.

The attendant should maintain OVI presentation standards, communicate effectively in English, and be ready to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Preferably one year customer service or restaurant environment.
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English Language.
• Ability to work a flexible work week including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests/visitors, vendors, media/publication contacts, community contacts, industry contacts, management and co-workers to their understanding.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at the pool or restaurant area.
• Clear and reset lounge chairs, cabanas, and tables between guests.
• Refresh drinks and provide timely beverage service from a tray.
• Set up and breakdown of pool areas and maintain neat, organized stations.
• Maintain professional appearance and follow OVI standards of presentation, body language, and verbiage.
• Provide clear and pleasant telephone communication to callers and guests.
• Respond to hotel emergencies and safety situations as needed.
