Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Bartender to deliver high-quality beverage service to resort guests and servers at our luxury property. You will describe menu items with passion, maintain knowledge of a wide range of liquors, wines, beers, and specialty drinks, and ensure accurate, timely service.

Applicants should have 1-2 years of luxury resort experience, fluent English, and legal work authorization in the United States; the role requires standing for long periods and lifting up

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a luxury resort.
• Fluent English.
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• The Bartender provides resort guests and servers with high quality, quick and efficient beverage service.
• Take orders from guests seated at the bar area and describe items’ origin, taste and preparation methods; maintain knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Prepare and serve wines, spirits and mixed drinks from the menu following recipes and Four Seasons standards.
• Maintain a high level of guest service through consistent, thoughtful service.
• Follow state and city alcohol laws while adhering to Four Seasons standards.
• Have working knowledge of all bar products and ensure service details are performed properly.
• Operate the POS system, confirm guest orders, and close checks; handle cash and card payments.

Responsibilities

• The Bartender provides resort guests and servers with the highest quality, quick and efficient beverage service.
• Take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
• The Bartender must maintain and control a high level of guest service achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
• Follow the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.
• The Bartender has a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensures that all the details of service are performed properly
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order
• The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties.
• Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.

Preferred Qualifications

• We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
• Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• The Bartender position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• 1-2 years experience in a luxury resort
• Fluent English
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
