Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Technical Service and Development Scientist for its Polyurethanes team in Marietta, GA. Lead technical interactions with customers to understand needs and collaborate with technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to deliver durable solutions.

You will scale up new products from lab to production, support trials, troubleshoot application challenges at customer sites, and communicate results through internal reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (or equivalent military experience).
• Minimum 6 years’ experience leading projects and formulating/commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope.
• Develops hypotheses and plans experiments; interprets results and adjusts approaches.
• Provides technical support for trials, scale-up, and product use at customer locations.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Generates data to support intellectual capital and protects Dow’s IP when working with customers.
• Represents Dow Polyurethanes in external professional forums and documents work clearly.
