Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist for rigid polyurethane foams based in Marietta, GA.

You will lead technical interactions with customers and collaborate across technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions and knowledge on Dow products. You will work independently and with colleagues to develop business cases, create new products, and support trials, troubleshooting, and scale-up from lab to production while communicating

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (or equivalent military experience).
Minimum 6 years' experience leading projects and formulating/commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.

Responsibilities

Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope.
Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments, interprets results, and adjusts hypotheses.
Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
Generates data to support development of intellectual capital and protects Dow's IP when working with customers.
Engages with external professional organizations to stay current on technology and market trends and represents the Dow Polyurethanes brand.
Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
