Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist for polyurethane rigid foam applications at our Marietta, GA location.

You will lead customer-focused technical interactions and collaborate across engineering, commercial, and manufacturing teams to deliver new products and processes. The role requires a formal degree in a related field and at least six years of relevant experience, with travel about 30% of the time.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (or equivalent military experience).
• Minimum 6 years’ experience leading projects in rigid foam polyurethane formulations.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customers with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and experiments, interprets results, and refines hypotheses as needed.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Contributes to intellectual capital and protects Dow’s IP when working with customers.
• Represents Dow Polyurethanes in external professional activities and communicates findings internally.
• Documents work in reports and presentations and conveys results clearly.
