Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist located at Dow’s Polyurethanes Business Headquarters in Marietta, GA.

As part of this team, you will lead technical interactions with customers to understand their needs and then collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions and provide technical knowledge on the use, handling and

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field; equivalent military experience considered.
• At least 6 years’ relevant experience leading projects and formulating/ commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customers based on defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments; interprets results.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer locations.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing.
• Contributes to intellectual capital and protects Dow’s IP when working with customers.
• Represents Dow Polyurethanes in external professional organizations and communicates findings.
• Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
