Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to help maximize impact within government.

You will translate Medicaid policy into practical, compliant system behaviors and guide cross-functional teams across product, design, and engineering to improve eligibility workflows and case management. You will independently research federal/state requirements, identify priorities, and develop concrete recommendations to improve service experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of policy analysis or equivalent graduate experience.
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes/regulations.
• Ability to document research processes and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints and propose solutions balancing compliance and user experience.
• Create artifacts to support decision-making and prioritization.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape research to monitor evolving policies and translate them into implementation implications.
• Synthesize research into clear written and verbal communications for diverse audiences.
• Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons.
• Contribute to advocacy strategy development and execution.
