Job summary

The Town of Sahuarita seeks an experienced inventory and property management professional to support the Police Department's asset management program. This role maintains accountability for police equipment, uniforms, and technology assets, and coordinates purchases, repairs, and audits to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control, recordkeeping, purchasing, and equipment management principles.
• Knowledge of police department equipment, technology assets, and applicable Town policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability and control of police department equipment and department-issued property.
• Receives, issues, documents, and tracks department equipment and accessories.
• Maintains inventory management systems and databases for equipment records and maintenance.
• Conducts regular audits and inspections for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Forecasts equipment needs and initiates purchasing requests to maintain readiness.
• Coordinates maintenance, repair, testing, and replacement of department equipment.
• Liaises with vendors, Fleet Services, Finance, Procurement, IT, and other Town departments.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on inventory, purchasing, and audits.
