Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a Police Logistics Technician to provide comprehensive logistical, quartermaster, procurement, inventory, and equipment-readiness support for the Georgetown Police Department. The role coordinates acquisition, receipt, storage, issuance, tracking, and disposition of uniforms, protective gear, and assets.

Strong focus on accurate records, forecasting, vendor coordination, and ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in inventory control, warehousing, purchasing, logistics, asset management, equipment management, law-enforcement support, or a closely related field.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages quartermaster and logistics functions including procurement, receiving, inventory control, storage, issuance, and disposition of uniforms, equipment, supplies, and assets.
• Maintains accurate inventory records, tracks employee equipment, conducts audits, and forecasts supply needs.
• Purchases and issues uniforms, body armor, duty gear, radios, and other equipment per department policy and regulations.
• Monitors equipment life cycles, coordinates repairs, and ensures equipment is serviceable before reissue.
• Maintains records for controlled and safety-related equipment and analyzes procurement and asset-management processes.
• Coordinates with Finance, Purchasing, Fleet, IT, and vendors on purchasing, budgeting, invoicing, and asset management.
• Provides logistical support for events and operations, preparing purchase orders and related documentation.
• Provides responsive service to staff and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
