JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs specialized administrative, logistical, and inventory management work supporting Police Department operations. Responsible for the acquisition, issuance, tracking, maintenance, accountability, replacement, and disposal of police equipment, uniforms, supplies, police department technology assets, and other department property. Maintains inventory control systems, coordinates equipment purchases and repairs, conducts audits and inspections, and serves as a liaison with department personnel, vendors, and Town staff to ensure operational readiness and accountability of police department assets.

- Maintains accountability, inventory, and control of police department equipment, supplies, uniforms, technology assets, and other department‑issued property.
- Receives, issues, recovers, and documents department‑issued equipment, including firearms, ammunition, radios, body‑worn cameras, mobile data computers, ballistic equipment, uniforms, less‑lethal equipment, emergency response equipment, and related accessories.
- Maintains inventory management systems and databases to track equipment assignments, maintenance schedules, replacement cycles, warranties, inventory levels, and other records associated with department property.
- Conducts regular inventory audits and inspections to ensure accountability and compliance with department policies, procedures, grant requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitors inventory levels; forecasts equipment, supply, and replacement needs; develops replacement schedules; and initiates purchasing requests to maintain operational readiness.
- Researches equipment and supply options and provides recommendations regarding purchases, replacements, upgrades, and standardization efforts.
- Coordinates the maintenance, repair, testing, and replacement of department equipment and technology assets.
- Maintains accountability for department keys, electronic access devices, and other controlled‑access equipment.
- Coordinates the pickup, delivery, transport, and distribution of department equipment, supplies, and materials in support of Police Department operations.
- May be tasked with conducting weekly inspections of police facilities to identify maintenance, cleanliness, and repair needs and coordinates with appropriate Town personnel to facilitate corrective actions.
- Serves as a liaison with vendors, Fleet Services, Finance, Procurement, Information Technology staff, grant personnel, and other Town departments regarding police department equipment acquisition, maintenance, inventory, and operational support.
- Assists as a liaison with fleet‑related equipment coordination and communicates vehicle equipment needs, installations, repairs, and replacement requirements to appropriate personnel.
- Participates in annual, bi‑annual, and periodic inventory audits and equipment verification processes involving radios, body‑worn cameras, mobile data computers, fleet equipment, and other department assets.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reports related to inventory control, purchasing activities, equipment assignments, maintenance activities, and audits.
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with department and Town policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of inventory control, recordkeeping, purchasing, and equipment management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of police department equipment, technology assets, and applicable Town and departmental policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and computer applications, including inventory tracking and database systems.
- Skill in maintaining accurate records, conducting inventories and audits, and preparing reports.
- Skill in researching equipment options and coordinating purchasing and maintenance activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and representatives of other agencies and departments.

- Ability to forecast equipment and supply needs and maintain accountability for department assets.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and handle equipment and supplies associated with Quartermaster responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years of experience in inventory control, logistics, warehousing, fleet support, procurement, property management, law enforcement support services, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in law enforcement, public safety, military, logistics, warehouse, supply, or quartermaster environment
- Experience with inventory management software and purchasing systems
- Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or related field
REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess an Arizona Driver's License within ten days of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
- Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation including fingerprints, and polygraph.
