Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry/orthopedic physicians in our Fishers, IN clinic. The role includes prep for exams, vitals, x-ray assistance and EMR documentation while delivering compassionate patient care.

Ideal candidates have MA experience, familiarity with athenahealth, strong communication, and reliable transportation to cover surrounding clinics if needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred
• X-ray experience is a plus
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
• Reliable transportation required to travel to surrounding clinics if needed

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician
• Complete exam intake including medical, social and surgical history
• Record vitals and document in EMR (Athenahealth)
• Assist podiatric physician and take x-rays as needed
• Restock and clean exam and x-ray rooms daily
• Coordinate care and outreach for Upperline Plus patients
• Support travel to nearby clinics for additional coverage
• Perform other related duties as assigned
