Job summary

Upperline Health Florida seeks a energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in the clinic. The role is based in our Clearwater location and involves clinical and administrative duties across podiatry and orthopedics specialties.

Candidates should have prior MA experience, familiarity with X-ray, and EMR systems (Athena preferred). The position offers comprehensive benefits and a path for professional growth in a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena EMR.
• Effective communicator with strong grammar and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake including medical history and social history.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Assist in the exam room and take/develop x-rays as required.
• Perform daily administrative tasks like stocking exam rooms.
• Sterilize and clean exam and x-ray rooms after each patient visit.
• Satisfy and document required MIPS quality measures.
