Job summary

Upperline Health, Inc. in Athens, TN is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering complex care within a clinic setting.

The position primarily serves the Athens, TN clinic and involves clinical and administrative tasks, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and travel to nearby clinics if needed. Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic experience, x-ray capabilities, and strong communication skills to provide excellent patient care and coordinate

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal (when applicable).
• Excellent grammar and interpersonal skills; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake and review medical history and related notes.
• Record vitals and document in Athenahealth EMR.
• Take radiographs and assist in the exam room as required.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and restock rooms.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient visit.
• Coordinate care and referrals for Upperline Plus patients.
• Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support if needed.
