Upperline Health is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support physicians in a Roswell, GA clinic. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vitals, processing exams, and assisting with x-rays.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic clinic experience, X-ray skills, and strong care coordination abilities. EMR experience (Athenahealth) and excellent communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal.
• Experience assisting geriatric patients preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athenahealth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Place patients in exam rooms; ensure readiness and comfort for physician visits.
• Complete exam intake including medical, social, surgical histories and history of present illness.
• Record vitals and documentation in EMR (Athenahealth).
• Assist in exams, take x-rays and support the physician as needed.
• Perform daily administrative tasks like restocking rooms and disposing of trash.
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after patients and daily.
• Engage with Upperline Plus patients to coordinate preventative care.
• Coordinate care referrals, records requests, and appointment scheduling.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Upperline Health.
