Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, AL is hiring for Gas - POD 40 Assembly. The role focuses on inspecting, assembling, and potentially testing units to meet Quality standards, using general handheld tools in a fast-paced, team environment.

Starting rate is $20.00 per hour, with wage increases through quarterly reviews; the company offers medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, ESOP, generous PTO and holidays, and an onsite fitness center and clinic.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• Stand or walk the entire shift (8-10 hours).

• Computer skills preferred but not required.

Job description

Gas - POD 40 Assembly

Job Overview: This position requires high attention to detail. They will be responsible for inspecting, building, and potentially testing the product to meet expectations set forth by Quality to ensure the perfect product for our customers. They will use general handheld tools when completing the processes. Within the Assembly team, there is a Dyno (test stand) Operator who is responsible for live running completed units to validate build quality. Computer skills are preferred but not required. This is a fast-paced, team environment.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
• Overtime available

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as drills, impacts, and torque wrenches.
