Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator to generate new business, assess on-site plumbing jobs, and deliver accurate, competitive estimates. You will present options to homeowners and property managers, close sales, and maintain strong client relationships.

The role blends technical plumbing knowledge with consultative selling, focusing on on-site evaluations, detailed proposals, and post-sale coordination with service teams. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years plumbing industry experience in field, service, or sales.
• Proven success in sales, estimating, or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to accurately scope and price plumbing jobs and explain technical work in plain language.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable using CRM software, estimating tools, tablets, and standard office apps.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass background check/drug screening.
• Plumbing license or journeyman card a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business through referrals, networking, and company-provided leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders, and commercial accounts.
• Represent the company at trade events, home shows, and community functions.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet monthly/quarterly targets.
• Follow up on open proposals and past customers to maximize close rates and lifetime value.
• Perform on-site evaluations of residential and light commercial plumbing projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and permits.
• Present good/better/best options and coordinate post-sale execution details.
• Document all customer interactions and sales activity in CRM/field management system.
