Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator to generate new business, build lasting customer relationships, and turn opportunities into signed work through accurate, competitive estimates. This role blends technical plumbing knowledge with consultative selling, on-site evaluations, and closing the sale.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in plumbing, proven sales or estimating experience, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years plumbing industry experience with knowledge of codes and installation practices.
• Proven success in sales, estimating or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to scope and price plumbing jobs and read plans.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable using CRM, estimating tools, tablets, and standard office apps.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Plumbing license or journeyman card a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through referrals, networking, and leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders, general contractors, and commercial accounts.
• Represent the company at trade events, home shows, and community functions.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Follow up on open proposals and past customers to maximize close rates.
• Perform on-site evaluations of residential and light commercial plumbing projects and prepare detailed estimates.
• Present good/better/best options and help customers choose based on needs and budget.
• Coordinate with service manager and field technicians after the sale.
• Track estimate win/loss results and adjust pricing based on feedback.
