KDS Strategic Search Group is seeking a Counter Sales / Inside Sales professional with strong plumbing, PVF or related product knowledge at our New Jersey location. You will work with contractors and trade customers, assist with product selection and develop relationships to contribute to branch sales growth.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and proactive account development, with a focus on delivering solutions and maintaining an organized counter environment.

Qualifications

• Strong plumbing, PVF or related product knowledge.
• Experience working with contractors or trade customers.
• Proactive sales approach and ability to identify additional customer needs.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Comfortable using order entry systems, email and standard business applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in person and telephone customers with product selection and purchasing.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable and responsive customer service.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and trade customers.
• Serve as a knowledgeable product resource for customers.
• Resolve customer questions and product related issues efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional products and solutions.
• Promote stocked products and suitable alternatives.
• Develop and support existing customer accounts.
• Reengage customers whose purchasing activity has declined.
• Maintain regular communication with customers.
• Contribute to increased branch sales.
• Monitor changes in customer purchasing activity and communicate opportunities internally.
• Maintain strong knowledge of plumbing, PVF or related products.
• Understand product applications and substitutions.
• Learn HVAC and related product lines as needed.
