Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent product knowledge and understanding of plumbing materials, fixtures, and equipment.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including POS systems, order entry software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the counter, assess needs, and provide product recommendations based on requirements.
• Process sales orders, quotes, and invoices accurately using the order entry system.
• Develop understanding of product offerings: plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipes, valves, and accessories.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell related products.
• Provide friendly, professional service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Assist with order fulfillment: picking, packing, and staging for pickup or delivery.
• Process transactions securely and balance the cash register at shift end.
• Maintain a clean, safe counter area and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, warehouse, and management to meet customer needs.
