Smith Seckman Reid, Inc (SSR) seeks a Plumbing Engineer-in-Training I to assist in designing and analyzing plumbing and fire protection systems for healthcare, education, commercial, sports, and civic projects. You will work with experienced engineers to develop innovative, code-compliant building systems and lay the groundwork for professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in an engineering discipline as listed.
• EIT certification or plan to obtain within six months.
• Interest in thermal/fluid systems and building engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse facilities.
• Develop plumbing construction documents and calculations.
• Perform pipe sizing, fixture counts, and system-related calculations.
• Use Revit/AutoCAD to coordinate layouts.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on projects.
• Review submittals and field conditions to support issue resolution.
• Support project managers with documentation and client deliverables.
• Research codes and standards to ensure compliant designs.
