Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa is seeking a professional plumber to maintain and repair plumbing systems in a hotel/casino environment. You will troubleshoot, install fixtures, and respond to leaks and drain issues as part of a collaborative Facilities team.

Candidates should be able to work alone or with others, follow uniformed appearance standards, and possess basic computer skills. Prior experience with drain cleaning equipment is preferred and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with drain cleaning equipment.
• Experience installing and repairing plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, urinals, faucets).
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install plumbing systems and fixtures in a hotel/casino environment.
• Respond to and repair leaks on plumbing systems in the hotel and casino.
• Perform new installations as required, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and related fixtures.
• Respond to drain back-ups and clear them as needed.
• Work as part of a Facilities team and support other areas when needed.
• Maintain uniformed appearance while on duty.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install plumbing systems and fixtures in a hotel / casino environment.
• Respond to and repair leaks on plumbing systems in the hotel and casino.
• Perform new installations as required, which includes installing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, shower heads etc.
• Respond to drain back-ups on the property and take the necessary actions to clear them.
• Working as part of a team you must be willing and able to help in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.
• This is a uniformed position, which requires that Team Members follow uniformed appearance standards while on duty.

• Must have experience in the use of drain cleaning equipment.
• Must have experience installing and repairing plumbing fixtures such as toilets, faucets, urinals, sinks, sensor activated flushing devices on urinals and toilets and on sink faucets.
• Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.
