Job summary

PENN Entertainment is hiring for laundry attendant roles across its Ameristar Casinos. The position handles daily laundry operations, operates commercial laundry equipment, and contributes to guest and team member service.

The role emphasizes efficiency, confidentiality, and teamwork, with an emphasis on physical stamina and reliable performance. Starting salary ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, with total rewards including benefits, time off, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including vacuum, cleaning supplies and safety equipment.
• Ability to inspect and maintain areas and perform recordkeeping.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily laundry facility operations including loading, washing, and storing laundry.
• Provide superior service to internal and external customers.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related equipment; sort, fold, and bundle linens.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for performing the daily operations of the laundry facilities, including loading, washing, and storing of laundry items, hallways, and service areas.
• Responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.
• Operates commercial washers, dryers, flatwork ironers, sorts, feeds and pulls linens. Catches, folds, stacks, and bundles with or without tying machines. Sorts and loads towels, sheets and various other linens and terry items onto linen cart.
• Stacks linens onto shelves.
• Maintains inventory control, item count and associated recordkeeping.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months previous cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, flatwork ironer and towel-folding machine.
• Ability to inspect laundry items, maintain inventory control and perform all associated recordkeeping.
• Ability to move around laundry area effectively and efficiently.
• Requires the ability to twist and lift up to fifty pounds, and push/pull loads of up to one hundred pounds, to be able to load, wash and store laundry items.
• Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Must be physically strong, honest, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work alone, willing to learn, eagerly follows directions, and always clean and neat in appearance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively to hotel guests, announcing arrival at door, and comprehending special requests from guests.
• Ability to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
• Must be able to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, vacuum, cleaning supplies and safety equipment.
• Ability to clean as directed at an acceptable performance rate.
• Ability to minimally communicate and understand, in English, matters of mutual concern, such as directions, hazards or questions; if unable to speak or understand English, prior experience as a guest room attendant required
